Short film, drama / magical realism, starring Sadie Soverall (Saltburn, Fate: The Winx Saga, The Gathering). Lacuna - which was written and directed by Sophie - was made as part of the prestigious NFTS and Amazon Prime Video Directors Workshop. Synopsis: Shy art student Mia secretly longs to begin a romance with Danny, a charming boy from her class, but she rejects his advances. Could the paintings Mia's been working on privately in her bedroom reveal the truth about her feelings?
The film was shot on location in late 2024 following months of intensive writing and directing training from expert lecturers at the National Film & Television School.
